What Size Dance Floor Do I Need?

Choosing the right dance floor size doesn’t have to be a challenge. With just two easy steps, you can determine the perfect size for your event!
 

Step 1: Calculate Your Number of Dancers

Use this simple formula:
Guest Count ÷ 2 = Number of Dancers

At most weddings, corporate events, and galas, about half of the guests will be dancing at any given time. This might seem low, but some guests will be resting, chatting, or visiting the bar or restroom. Once you have your total guest count, divide it by 2 to estimate how many people will be on the dance floor simultaneously.
 

Step 2: Choose a Dance Floor Size

Use the chart below to match your number of dancers to the recommended dance floor size:

50 Guests 9' x 12' (36 Dancers)

100 Guests 9' x 21' (63 Dancers)

General Sizing Recommendations

For guest counts smaller than 50 or larger than 300, we recommend following the general rule of thumb above to size your dance floor.
